galley mate

It is a fact of maritime law, the least experienced crew member assumes the role of galley wench. Some people struggle with this role, they become embittered and ultimately reject their duties. This is less than desirable for the rest of the crew.
But Danielle Frandina took to her job in the galley with style and grace. Every bit the Italian, she turned out many delicious dishes and enjoyed herself in the process.

Ah, the galley wench. A truly misunderstood role. I myself have been the galley wench. It made me feel like a million bucks.

my father assumed the role of galley wench better than anyone I've ever seen - pasta alfredo with dungeness -
every night-

and he made this incredible cream sauce out of little packets of string cheese i had in the back of the ice box -

but danielle was right up there-

Did your father walk around in a black bikini? And I'm Sicilian. We don't do cream sauces.

my father was a navy seal, he stormed the beaches at Normandy

he would never walk around in a black bikini -

Shit, I forgot about the Navy Seal thing. I concede. I have a fierce competative streak that pops up sometimes.

I will totally sport a black bikini. In fact, I am wearing one under my beard now...
